The kidney center, established for the first time in this area in 1979, has been maintaining the greatest number of hemodialysis patients throughout Korea.
It concentrates its systematic treatment on accurate diagnosis and chronic renal failure patients with hemo-peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation and hemofiltration with on-line preparation of substitution fluid in Korea for the first time, which may prevent the dialysis associated with amyloidosis in long-term dialysis patients. This center has the record of achieving more than 750 cases of kidney transplantation.
